Isla Mujeres travel attractions – hotels guide

Isla Mujeres, Mexico is a little, fabulous, quiet little island located off the coast of Cancun. Its bright blue water, amazing coral reefs, white sand beaches, calmly moving palm trees, migrating whale sharks, Mayan ruins, and giant iguanas that move over your view sometimes when you’re not looking make it one of the top travel locations in the Riviera Maya.

Love sea turtles? So do we, and that’s why we always stop by the Turtle Farm in Isla Mujeres. Since large sea turtles have made Isla Mujeres their breeding ground for generations, the Turtle Farm gathers up the eggs it finds along the beaches and incubates them at the Turtle Farm thereby greatly increasing their chances of survival. Depending on the time of year you’re there, you can see hundreds of turtles in the tanks growing up in the large tanks around the property. There is a great celebration the day they’re released back into the wild.

Based in Isla Mujeres, near Punta Sur and the center of the island, Casa de Los Suenos has an enviable location. Right next to the turquoise waters of the Mexican Caribbean, you will be able to appreciate the sunsets of this paradise from the comfort of your suite. It’s a fact that you will experience a memorable vacation in this marvelous destination. Enjoy a dream vacation in Isla Mujeres, Mexico. See extra info on Hotel Isla Mujeres.

Laze On The Pristine Playa Norte Beach: A 10-minute walk from the Ferry Pier is the popular family beach of Playa Norte or North Beach. This is the main beach on Isla Mujeres and has been named one of the best beaches in the Caribbean! The water here is calm, and shallow, making it a great spot for families or for just a chilled out day of floating around. Join a Yoga Class: The Treehouse overlooks Playa Norte and it is a paradise for yoga lovers. Take an early morning sunrise yoga class or an evening sunset class. If you’re looking to get some exercise, practicing yoga is one of the top things to do in Isla Mujeres. Prices start at $20 for 90 minutes and there are classes to suit all levels. For the latest timings for classes check out their Facebook page.

You will realize once you step off the ferry, just how small Isla Mujeres really is. In fact, the only way to get around the island is by golf cart! Sure, there are plenty of beaches and shops within walking distance of the ferry dock, however, renting a golf cart for the day allows you to drive around the whole island in a short amount of time, and get you from point A to point B, much faster. There are quite a few different golf cart shops around the island for you to choose from, that are all affordable and convenient. One of the top-rated shops is Isla Mujeres Golf Cart Rentals. Here’s what one visitor had to say about her experience with this particular shop: “This is the ONLY company you should be renting with on Isla! Alex is the absolute best! Our golf cart stalled in the middle of a downpour and he personally came to get us, drove us to grab dinner and then followed up when our cart was ready. Completely unexpected and exceeded our expectations 100%. Thanks, Alex and the crew at Pepe’s, we will be back!!!” – Nikki
